Adam & Jenn Photography | A Husband + Wife Photo Team » A husband and wife photo team located in lower Alabama serving the gulf coast

Adam and I LOVE to go to flea markets and yard sales so we can find others trash and turn it into our treasures. Recently my aunt and uncle were refinishing a house and they wanted to replace the front door. We were fortunate enough to hear this GREAT news and they gave us this awesome 1950’s wooden door for FREE!! I knew I couldn’t let this sit away and collect dust I wanted to get started on it right away.

I have been in desperate need of a designated area of our tiny house to wrap our prints that clients buy. Until now I have had all of our wrapping ribbon, stickers, boxes, and prints all over the house and it takes me twice as long to collect everything, wrap it, and put it away…UNTIL NOW!!!

I realized this was the perfect treasure to turn into our new wrapping station!! First we went to Home Depot to pick out paint colors and legs for the new table. After hitting a few bumps we finally figured out our attack plan and got to work.

here it is…

I sanded the rough spots just enough to smooth them over and then painted the undercoat of the door a pale green color that I also used in our latest bathroom remodel. After letting it dry I used a white candle and rubbed the door in all the places I wanted to pale mint color to shine through. Then I painted the top coat mint majesty. We sanded the door again when it dried with a fine sand paper and all of the mint majesty with wax underneath it came off to reveal the pretty pale green!! Adam and my dad constructed four wooden legs while I removed the glass from the door and trimmed it to fit into the bottom half of the door for a smooth work surface. We built three pockets for storage and hung two mason jars from the keyholes to be used for pen storage.

I couldn’t wait to get it into the house and filled with all of my supplies.

It is perfect in so many ways! I just love it.

Good Morning All.

Monday is here and we are back at work. Before I get to deep into paperwork, I thought I would share one of our recent photo shoots. We photographed Bree last month right in her own backyard. She is learning so many new words each day but all she said to us was LaLa. (translation Lucky her dog) Lucky loves fetching pine cones so our entertainment was watching a 1 year old throw pine cones as far as her little arms could and Lucky would never fail bringing them back to her. Hope you all enjoy.

hope everyone has a great monday!!

It is official the Flint family is expanding. We now have a BLOG!! Everyone I talk to says you have to nurture your blog and give it lots of attention to keep the followers coming. So we are treating our BLOG as a new addition to the family!! As our first entry and introduction to the BLOG realm we would love to name our BLOG something catchy and simple. (adam and I like to name everything our phones, computers, favorite coffee mugs, etc) This will not only entertain our readers but will spruce up our to do list for the day, so instead of “update the blog” we can say, “give ________ some love today!” We need your help!¬† Who knows there could be something special for the winner who helps name it.

Send us your ideas!

For those of you don’t know us let me take a minute to introduce ourselves. Adam and I met in 2006 where we both started school at Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, MA for intense photographic training. We then moved to New York City to get our careers in the photography business off the ground. After spending so much time together we decided we couldn’t spend any more time apart, we started dating in 2008, engaged in 2009 and married in 2010. Six months before our wedding we made a HUGE decision the leave our jobs in the city and move back to my hometown in southern Alabama to start our own photo business. Adam was born and raised on the southern coast of Maine so this was BIG move for him. We packed our bags and our dog Moose and headed south a year ago next month. Since then we have been planting our roots here in Alabama. We wanted to start a blog to let people see our passion and peek into the lives of a husband and wife photo team.

keep coming back for more…

This is one our favorites from our wedding day 10.10.10. Thanks to Scott and Brian
